About

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum stands as one of the world's largest museums dedicated to a single genre of American music. Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, this striking building houses an extraordinary collection that traces country music from its folk roots through today's biggest stars.

Inside you'll find over 2.5 million artifacts, including rare instruments, iconic stage costumes, handwritten lyrics, and personal items from legends like Hank Williams, Dolly Parton, and Johnny Cash. Interactive exhibits let visitors explore how country music shaped American culture, and rotating galleries keep the experience fresh for return visitors.

The museum experience extends beyond the main building. Your ticket can include a visit to Historic RCA Studio B, where Elvis Presley and countless other artists recorded hits that defined generations. Hatch Show Print, one of the oldest working letterpress shops in America, offers tours and the chance to watch artisans create posters using techniques dating back to 1879.

Plan for at least two to three hours to explore the permanent collection, and longer if you want to take in a special exhibition or catch a live performance in the museum's theater. The gift shop is worth a browse too, stocked with books, music, and unique memorabilia you won't find anywhere else.

The museum sits along Nashville's famous Honky Tonk Row, making it easy to pair your visit with lunch at a nearby restaurant or a stroll through the SoBro neighborhood. Parking garages and public lots surround the building, and the location is well-served by Nashville's transit options.

Accessibility

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is wheelchair accessible throughout its 350,000 square feet of exhibit space. Visitors using power or manual wheelchairs report excellent access, including elevators between floors, wide pathways through galleries, and accessible restroom facilities.
