About
Six Flags New England sits along the Connecticut River in Agawam, Massachusetts, drawing visitors from across the Northeast with one of the region's most exciting collections of roller coasters and family attractions. The park features over 50 rides spanning gentle kiddie areas to world-class thrill rides, plus Hurricane Harbor, a full water park included with admission during summer months.
The coaster lineup is a major draw. Superman The Ride consistently ranks among the top steel coasters in the country, and newer additions keep the lineup fresh. But Six Flags New England isn't just for adrenaline seekers. The park's family sections offer plenty for younger visitors, with scaled-down rides, character meet-and-greets, and interactive play areas.
Beyond rides, the park hosts seasonal events throughout its operating season from spring through fall. Fright Fest transforms the grounds into a Halloween celebration with haunted mazes and scare zones, while Holiday in the Park lights up the winter with millions of lights and festive entertainment. Live shows, games, and a wide variety of dining options round out the experience.
Planning ahead makes for a smoother visit. The park can get crowded on summer weekends, so weekday visits or arriving at opening tend to mean shorter wait times. Season passes and meal plans can save money for repeat visitors. Parking is plentiful, and the park is easy to reach from Interstate 91.
Whether you're a coaster enthusiast chasing your next big thrill or a family looking for a full day of fun together, Six Flags New England delivers a packed entertainment experience in a beautiful riverside setting.
Accessibility
Six Flags New England works closely with ride manufacturers to follow ADA requirements and manufacturer safety guidelines for all attractions. The park provides a detailed Guest Safety and Accessibility Guide that outlines specific requirements for each ride, including physical ability needs such as the ability to hold on, brace, and maintain a seated position.
Guests who use wheelchairs or ECVs can enter through designated turnstiles and any ticket window. Wheelchair and ECV speed in the park must not exceed 5 miles per hour. Many of the park's shopping and dining locations are wheelchair accessible.
The park offers an Access Pass program for guests with disabilities who cannot wait in standard queue lines. Guests can pick up an Access Pass at designated locations and present it to a team member at ride stations to receive a return time, similar to a virtual queue system.
Each ride has specific rider requirements based on manufacturer guidelines. Some rides require guests to be accompanied by a Responsible Person, defined as an adult at least 54 inches tall who meets all ride requirements themselves. The park encourages guests to review the accessibility guide before visiting to plan which attractions will work best for them.
For the most current information on wheelchair and ECV rentals, sensory accommodations, companion restrooms, and service animal policies, contact Guest Relations directly or visit the Six Flags New England website. Park employees are available throughout the grounds to help with questions about accessibility and to explain specific ride policies.
