Ocean Downs Casino

About

Ocean Downs Casino sits in the heart of Maryland's beloved beach resort area, just minutes from the Ocean City boardwalk and beaches. This premier entertainment facility brings together gaming, dining, and seasonal live horse racing in a welcoming coastal setting.

The casino floor features around 900 slot machines and live table games, giving visitors plenty of options whether they prefer the pull of a lever or the strategy of a card table. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, fitting right in with the vacation vibe of the surrounding community.

One of Ocean Downs' standout features is its live horse racing season, which runs from June through August. Watching the races adds something truly special to a visit, and simulcast racing is available year-round for those who enjoy the sport outside of the summer months. It's a throwback to a classic form of entertainment that pairs well with the coastal charm of the area.

Dining options on-site mean you won't have to leave when hunger strikes. Whether you're looking for a quick bite between games or a sit-down meal, the casino has you covered.

For families visiting Ocean City, the casino offers a nice option for adults looking for evening entertainment while kids are settled in for the night. The location makes it easy to pair a casino visit with a full day of beach activities, boardwalk strolls, and everything else the Ocean City area is known for.

Ocean Downs is open throughout the year, though hours can vary by season. It's worth checking the website before your visit to confirm current hours and any special events that might be happening during your stay. The casino is located along Route 589, making it straightforward to reach from most Ocean City accommodations.
